What to Expect Working With MailMath

We'll walk through this together before we wrap up — so you know exactly what happens next.

Timeline & Creative

Within 7 days of your first onboarding call, we'll have a creative concept ready for your review and approval. Our goal is faster — but 7 days is our commitment.

Once you approve the creative, we target mailing on the following Friday.

You will always see and approve the mail piece before anything goes to print. Nothing ships without your sign-off.

Getting Mail Out

After the mailing invoice is paid, mail typically drops within 3 business days (standard turnaround). Rush turnaround is available at a small premium if timing is critical.

This is physical mail — pieces go into trucks, get sorted, and get delivered to individual mailboxes. It is not instant like digital advertising.

When to Expect Responses

Allow 5–7 business days after the mail drops before expecting any responses or traffic. In reality it's often 2–3 days, but we always give the conservative number so you're never anxious — only pleasantly surprised.

Expect roughly 50% of your total responses within the first 7–10 days, with the remaining 50% trickling in over the following 2–3 weeks.

If your offer includes an expiration date or promo code, keep it active for at least 24 hours past the listed deadline — some people will try to use it a day late.

Fees — What's What

Your agreed-upon setup fee is your agency fee. It is nonrefundable. It covers campaign design, creative, list strategy, print and mail facilitation, tracking setup, and all the coordination in between.

Printing, postage, and list costs are separate and billed per mailing before each send. You will always know the exact cost before approving any spend. We never front mailing costs on your behalf.

If you prefer to pay the print/mail vendor directly, we can accommodate that — just let us know.

Scope — What This Is (and Isn't)

Our goal is to get your direct mail campaign dialed in and working. Once it's scaling predictably, we hand off the process to your team — you own it.

We are not locking you into an ongoing retainer. We get it working. You take the keys.

Direct mail is a testing game. We use data from each send to optimize what's working and scale from there.
